MPSC Reschedules Manipur Civil Service Mains Exams 2025 Due to Printing Error

Imphal, November 11, 2025:
The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has officially rescheduled two papers of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (MCSCC) Mains Examination 2022 after discovering a printing error in one of the question papers. The affected exams — Paper-IV (General Studies-III) and Paper-V (General Studies-IV) — which were originally set for November 9, 2025, will now be conducted on November 22, 2025, as per the latest notification released by MPSC.

Reason for Rescheduling

According to the official statement, a mismatch between the heading of the question paper and its content was detected when the sealed envelopes were opened moments before the examination was set to begin. The error was traced back to the secured printing press responsible for preparing the examination materials.

The Commission clarified,

“It was discovered while opening the sealed cover just before the start of the examination that there was a mismatch between the heading of the question paper for Paper-IV (General Studies-III) and the content inside due to an error of the secured printing press.”

MPSC’s Stand on Confidentiality

The MPSC emphasized that maintaining absolute confidentiality during the examination process is a top priority, which restricts any officials from previewing the question papers before they are distributed to candidates.

“No official from the MPSC is allowed to see the question papers before the examination to maintain full confidentiality. The papers are only opened in front of candidates inside the examination hall,” the notification explained.

The Commission acknowledged the inconvenience caused to candidates but assured that such incidents will be avoided in the future.

“MPSC regrets the inconvenience caused to the candidates. Due warning has been given to the secured press not to repeat such grave errors,” said Kh. Lalmani Singh, Controller of Examination, MPSC.
